Lions Club Hold Christmas In July Fundraiser

The Pennsauken Lions Club will hold its first community wide Christmas in July fundraiser at the 45th Street Pub, 2545 Rt. 130, Pennsauken, on Saturday, July 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person and includes roast beef, pasta, Caesar salad, and cash bar. Ten percent of the proceeds collected will be donated to the Pennsauken Angel Tree Program.

Christmas In July Luau Benefits Worthy Causes

The Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas in July Luau on Thursday, July 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Rd. For a $20 donation, participants will enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment.

A portion of the proceeds from the luau benefits Pennsauken’s Angel Tree program, which collects new, unwrapped toys for families in need. Last year, a record number of Pennsauken families were helped during the holidays thanks to generous community and business donations.

Also this year, the Luau will use part of the proceeds to help the Tony Chaplain Life Line Ministry. The Ministry provides compassionate support for first responders and their families, by helping them cope with crises they face, resulting in a positive impact on their lives and their community.
