Board Of Education Springs Into Budget Preparation

The signs of warmer weather and longer days often have members of the Pennsauken school community daydreaming about the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Though the end of the academic year is still a few months away, the Pennsauken Board of Education is already hard at work preparing next year’s budget. This yearly task is one of the most important for Board of Education members.

No Increase In Pennsauken Property Taxes For Fifth Straight Year

For the past several years, Pennsauken Township’s administration and the Township Committee have worked diligently to keep the local property tax levy at reasonable levels. Keeping in mind the property tax levy cap law that has been mandated by the State of New Jersey, Pennsauken Township has insured that residents will not see an increase in their property taxes for the fifth year in a row; rates will remain the same as they did in 2016.

Keeping in mind the recent property tax assessment mandated by the Camden County Board of Taxation, as well as the property tax levy cap law mandated by the State of New Jersey, Pennsauken Township’s administration and the Township Committee have worked diligently to keep 2015’s local property tax levy at the same level as last year.
