Revaluation Of Township Properties Underway

By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor

By order of the Camden County Board of Taxation and under the approval of the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation, Pennsauken Township will be undergoing a revaluation of properties. The revaluation process, which will be implemented for the 2025 tax year, is designed to update all assessments on Pennsauken properties, so that each owner has an accurate estimate of that property’s value.

“The goal of the revaluation program is to update all assessments to fair market value. To achieve this goal, all pertinent information must be accurately collected,” wrote John Dymond, tax assessor for Pennsauken Township, in a letter sent out to residents. “The Township has partnered with Professional Property Appraisers, Inc. to assist with this initiative.”

The revaluation process involves a representative from Professional Property Appraisers, Inc., who will be registered with the Township of Pennsauken Police Department and wearing a photo identification badge, inspecting the property, as well as measuring all buildings on, and improvements to, the land. If no one is available during the initial inspection, they will continue with the exterior inspection and leave a postcard with a phone number to call to set up an appointment for an interior inspection. The individuals conducting the inspections are only collecting information to be used in the valuation process and will not be making an instant judgement on the property.

At the conclusion of the program, property owners will be notified by mail of the updated assessed value. Owners will also have an opportunity to discuss the new value with a representative from Professional Property Appraisers, Inc.

Property owners wishing more information about the revaluation program can contact Professional Property Appraisers, Inc. at (866) 957-1388 or online at ppareval.com. “Your cooperation during the revaluation of the Township of Pennsauken is necessary for its success. It will also ensure the most accurate assessment of your property,” continued Dymond in his letter. “We thank you for your understanding and support to complete this mandatory program.”
